STAY ALIVE

“Stay alive my friend!..
the world is just beginning!”..those were his words to me.
These words like the eyes of a spear,hit the bulls eye of my heart with no resistance.

These words fanned alive the embers of my willing soul.
I started to speak the dialect of fire,my tongue dancing the rythm of flames.
“Do you stir up the waters of prophecy?
Or do you shoot from the barrels of parables?, for this world i see is ending”.. I retorted.

He answers in silence or telepathy;
My ear’s eyes could not see it but my spirit could touch it.
Before the lips of his fingers spoke through the keypads of his android,
I knew the answer.

“This war of man,viruses and divinity is not the end. There’s a revival erupting”-that was his answer.
Yes! That was the perfect irrigation for the parched throat of the silence.
In the heat of this pandemic, revival will sweep over this planet!
In the thick of the despair of nations hope will rai(eig)n from the third heavens.
The greatest harvest is upon us!-the harvest of the souls of men.

THE SHAKING

There’s a shaking,
I am lost and can’t find myself.
The eyes of my philosophy has failed me,
Science and religion have no panacea.
There’s a shaking,
This has never happened before!.
Every man is confined in a prison of self isolation,
Everyone is quarantined with his family demons.
There’s a shaking,
We never envisaged this.
We awake to drool at the flickering count of covid19 victims on our television,
We hope for the better but anticipate the worst.
There’s a shaking,
A war of microbes,spirits and mankind.
Mankind is loosing everyday;
This Death was born in Asia, christened in America and killing in Italy, Spain,China,the U.K and festering through Africa.
There’s a shaking,
Man birthed death in a lab.
This death is not natural,
It’s a death made by some men for other men!

THE ENCOUNTER

I take a copious scoop from the residues of burnt civilizations,
pouring away time into oblivion
With the bowl of servitude.
They were Civilizations of quicker ways to end mankind.

I pluck off the jacket of hope from the hanger of memories..
I snatch reselience from the shelves of posterity.
I take some food for thought,to last a few kilometers.
I unzip the bag of elopement and mournfully ,but resolutely empty all these badges of achievements and legacies there in.

I was ready to voyage into the land of the forgotten souls.

I was done with the trials of the earth;
Yesterday Ebola and Lassa fever,
Today covid19 and hanter virus.
There is poverty virus.
There is corruption virus.
And Boko Haram virus.
We are in an age when man births death in a lab- science of earth cleansing!
I couldn’t do this any more!
I was going to end it all.
I was going to leave a note.
I was going to say goodbye.
But then Love Shone through,
Beaming it’s resplendence at my spent form.
It was THE ENCOUNTER!
Now I see that life is stronger than death.

The Lion of the tribe of Judah is that Love.
Do you know him?
Have you been saved?
Will you let Him love you?
He is the only cure for the mother of viruses- sin!
